Yep! That's me. How weird, because I have a friend at EnviroMed and we were talking shop last week, and I asked him about EnviroScience. Most of what I remember was the desperation, and that the two people who left when I left were heading off to be a Camp Counselor (Amy?) and manning a fire lookout tower (Greg?), and I was a week away from enrolling in massage therapy school before landing a job at GTI! Daummmmmmmm! Scary Shit.

Yeah, the scary part is that it does seem like yesterday! I remember playing electric and double bass in the summer band program at JFK Jr. High in the summer before I started high school. I smacked up my dad's Datsun right after school ended (at the tender age of 14) and summer bnd was the only time I was let out of the house for a month. Talk about motivation.... Playing electric bass in a concert band was kinda like my calling card... did it at St. Paul as well.

I think that I have been victim of "not enough hours in the day" syndrome with both photography and music. I could use a lot more work on my chops in both venues. Have almost ditched one for the other many many times in the past 30+ years. Seeing the work of guys like Olivier, and playing alongside people like bassist Helene Labarriere in France, yeah... it just grabs you by the scruff and says "work to do"

Great post, Peter. And it's not business as usual - this is a whole new game and Mr. Obama is defending the gates whilst the UberWealthy load the gold bars into their Bentleys.

9/11 was a game changer.

Amazing immorality, and even worse, amazing tolerance for it on the part of the Right and the Tea Party idiots.
